Perceptions
There's a recurring question that people ask out of concern. Or perhaps out of their nature to want to know all. But that's not the point. The point is, they always ask this familiar three words. 'What's your ambition?' It may seem trivial. It may even feel like you're filling in an inane questionnaire that no one would read. But deep down, somewhere beneath all the apathy, you know it matters. You know it means the world to you. That the answer to those three words sums up your imminent future. The only problem is, if the world IS your oyster, wouldn't everyone be playing with the same damn shellfish? So what happens then? Do you shoot for the moon and hope you'll land near the stars? Or do keep your feet on the ground and stay there? Me? I always had this reverberating thought. This dream, or rather wishful thinking that I'd live to see the day a book with my name on it hits the stores. It was as simple as that. So why does it seem so impossible every single time I attempt something to get a tad closer to that dream? Because the world is not your damn oyster. Your life, isn't really a life. It's just the momentary stop you make, between birth and death.
