Prologue.

Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG). Often called 'cabbage' as an abbreviation to medical staff, and in layman's terms, a heart bypass. The procedure is done to improve blood flow to the heart. When blockages are found in someone's heart, the surgeon takes healthy arteries from other parts of the body and grafts it on the heart, creating an alternative route for the blood to run. It is the most common type of open-heart surgery.

People know that every surgery has its' risks. People also know that when you open your heart up to something, more often than not, you will get it broken.
