Has it been a year already? Unfathomable, time that is.

Never mind that. Here's part two:

Imagine an island, tucked away neatly from the rest of the world. Cities, towns, miles far. Almost, two different realms. When you first catch a glimpse of that unfamiliarity, it feels strange. It is everything you know nothing about. You simply don't see a common ground. If you had even bothered looking for one in the first place. There's virtually no reason for you to blink in that direction a second time. A one-off event that you were absolute wouldn't happen again. Until of course, it does.
