I Remember

I still remember

The day you told me it was over
That you and him couldn't go any longer

I still remember
The tears you shed as you packed
How I dried them with a towel off the bathroom rack

I still remember
The words of comfort you whispered convincingly
While I realised it was meant for you, not me

I still remember
The expression on his face when we walked out
The way he wanted us gone, spoken loud

I still remember
The moment I thought you'd changed your mind
When you laid eyes on the gift from him, that bottle of wine

I still remember
The second I knew it wasn't just another tease
When you flung the bottle and I felt your heart breaking. Every piece.

I still remember
The day you told me it was over
That you and him couldn't go any longer

And I still remember
The crossroad where I stood, it was hard to believe
That I couldn't tell which hurt more. The pain or relief.

I know now, that I wouldn't give anything up for the relief.

 Okay. Now that I'm done with the emo poetry, I shall move on to declare that Sabah with the 8 annoying friends was awesome. Wait up for pictures or go to facebook :)
